All our Remedial Massage Therapists practice Massage Therapy. It is the cornerstone of our training. Massage Therapy includes relaxation massage like you might receive at a spa but also therapeutic treatments such as stretching, muscle energy techniques, fascia work and many other forms of treatment.
Easing into a treatment generally starts with the warm up of tissue after assessment of your dysfunction has been completed. Most RMTs combine relaxation and Therapeutic treatments to get to their therapeutic goal. The patients comfort is very important as relaxed tissue allows us to go further and deeper in addressing the problem tissue and it allows for a better experience with longer results.
When a RMT is trained they are taught a wide array of treatments and when practicing they continue to complete courses to add to their skill set. This combined is understood as Massage Therapy. Its a hands on form of treatment that observes that patients comfort level at all times.
